Literature, More or Less: A Short Story Collection brings together ten unconventional stories by Japanese writer Eikyo Matsunaga. A clinic prescribes rice. Restaurant customers prepare their own meals. Ordinary life takes unexpected turns through absurdist literary fiction and humor. Matsunaga is forging ahead at the world’s leading edge of literature. By asking AI to write and competing with its output, he searched for a voice AI could not readily reproduce and arrived at his current style. For him, a human continuing to write is itself a form of resistance in the AI age. English edition.
